Why use the Brown Ecopad?
The early versions of the Senseo coffee maker were originally marketed in Europe, shortly after release a Netherlands based company started producing EcoPads (originally a beige color) to fit the European Senseo machines. The Senseo coffee maker was upgraded prior to its US release, which meant that the original beige Ecopads no longer fit properly. The manufacturer of the EcoPads responded by issuing a Blue Ecopad – which fit the US version of the Senseo. Recently some upgrades have been made to the US version of the EcoPad (stronger mesh and easier to close EcoPad lids) – to distinguish these from the earlier models, they were colored Brown.
